Lifestyle Medicine Banquet, Loma Linda, CA
90 people attended a dinner to raise funds for the Lifestyle Medicine Fund. The program included a presentation by Dr. Jacques Souadjian (UC Irvine) and a carribean steele drum orchestra.

Coronary Health Improvement Program (CHIP), Rockford, IL. Hans Diehl, DrHSc reports that the Canadian Ministry of Health has committed $45,000 to conduct four Coronary Health Improvement Programs (CHIP) in White Horse, Yukon, Canada. CHIP is an intervention program designed to reverse risk factors for circulatory disease. Silver Hills Guest House, British Columbia, Canada. Phil Brewer, President reports that, during the recent CHIP summit held in Hope, British Columbia approximately 15 church in B.C. have agreed to proceed with a number of CHIP video programs. SHGH will assist them with follow-up with cooking schools and live-in programs. Weimar College, Weimar, California is initiating a new summer program designed to prepare the mission-minded for health evangelism. This course will focus on training lay people to run local wellness seminars and to handle medical situations in developing countries. Taught by health professionals the course will include instruction in health teaching, cross-cultural communication and hydrotherapy and massage.
