1992 - Honduras. 2 1/2 weeks, Integrated Community Development class (for MPH). Saw first-hand a large variety of development projects.
1994 - Kenya/Sudan. 2 1/2 months, Mission Elective with Kendu Bay Adventist Hospital and ADRA/South Sudan. Wrote a proposal for a primary care clinic system which was funded by USAID for a half million dollars.

1995 - Philipines. 2 weeks, Goal 50,000 Voice of Prophecy evangelistic team. Was team physician and health fair; health talk coordinator for a team from my local SDA church.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Organizational skills - Have participated in the organization of a lifestyle intervention program, a national Lifestyle Medicine association and three clubs.
Public speaking - Have spoken on numerous occasions for student government, smoking cessation, diabetes education and church meetings.
Computer programming and web page design - Have developed a number of health-related applications.
Computer applications - SPSS, Excel, MSWord, Power Point, Word Perfect and several graphics programs.
Publications - Desktop published three different newsletters / magazines. Produced numerous brochures and flyers.
