Dr. & Mrs. James P. Joseph of Cornville announce the engagement of their daughter Laura Renee Joseph of Loma Linda, California to William Carsten Hoffman of Loma Linda, California. He is the son of Mr. William Hoffman of Bakersfield, California and Carol Hoffman of Salem, Oregon. Miss Joseph is a graduate of Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona, with a degree in Visual Communications, emphasis in Illustration. In May of this year she graduated from the University of Redlands with a Masters in Music, Harp Performance. She is self employed in her own freelance business as a harpist and private music teacher. Her fiance' attended the University of Nevada, at Reno and graduated with a degree in Computer Science and a minor inArt Studio. HoffmanÕs graduate studies in Public Health, Research Epidemiology were completed at Loma Linda University School of Public Health. He is employed by a computer software company in Redlands, California called ESRI where he works within the Health Solutions Group. The Hoffman/Joseph wedding will take place in August in La Lima, Honduras, Central America in a Seventh-day Adventist Church that they will be building in celebration of their marriage. The building project is being executed under the direction of an organization called Maranatha Volunteers International. A Cornville reception is planned for the month of September.

William C. Hoffman was born May 19, 1962 in Burlingame, Califonia. Bill grew up in Bakersfield, California and attended the Bakersfield Adventist Academy where he tried his hand at trumpet and pizza making. His greatest adventure was in consuming the monthly issues of National Geographic. He served
